The contest officially kicks off today and will conclude this Sunday, August 27 at 12:00 PM EDT. You can enter the contest once per day until then for a chance to win, and winners will be emailed a code directly.

To redeem the code, you'll need to follow the instructions below:

1. PC beta codes can be redeemed through Bungie.net through the Destiny Code Redemption Form. Players will need to be signed into a valid Bungie.net account to finish the code redemption process.
2. Select PC as your platform of choice and then you will be given a Battle.net code. [NOTE: Depending on when the Bungie.net code is redeemed, you may be asked to return later once Battle.net codes are available. If you get this message, check back with Bungie.net on a later day in the 'Redemption History' for the code]
3. After getting your Battle.net code, go to Blizzard.com/code to redeem.
4. You must download the beta to your PC via Battle.net, Blizzard Entertainment's online gaming service.
5. Play the early-access beta beginning August 28 at 10 a.m. Pacific.

Developers are working on this error, as you can see on the Twitter reply, but there is some basic work-around you can try as updated on Bungie forums.

• After Running Destiny 2, use Scan and Repair Function to check if all files are properly installed.
• Update Graphic Card Drivers
• If update does not help, remove the graphic card drivers from Control Panel > Uninstall Program and Install them back by downloading it from the official site.
• Install Microsoft Update KB 2670838 Update, run Windows update and also install .Net.

How To Fix Destiny 2 Saxophone Errors:

• This one is not having any exact solution, Bungie is working on the same, but a fix is to restart Battle.net and then try launching it back. A possible issue is server overload, so try after sometime.
• Another fix, right click on Destiny 2 Shortcut and choose Run As Administrator. Then Launch from Battle.net app.

Destiny 2 Stuck on Loading Screen:

• Right click on the game icon and choose run as Administrator.

Mouse Lag:

• Try rebooting the pc first.
• Next click on Start > Type “text” in the search box and click on Make text and other items smaller or larger, set the same to 100% and check back.
• Finally if nothing works right click on the game icon and choose Properties. Under the Compatibility tab remove the tick from “Full Screen Optimization”.

Hide Your Real Name:

• Go in game Settings and then disable Show Real Names. When you chat your real name will not be visible.

Destiny 2 Minimize automatically:

• Exit Team viewer in the background and then test back.

Destiny 2 Change Language:

Go in Battle.net and then click on Blizzard Icon. Go in Settings and then go in Game Settings. Now under Destiny 2 Beta you will find the Language Option. Click on it and modify it.

Battlenet -> Click Blizzard Icon -> Click settings -> Game Settings -> Under Destiny 2 Beta there should be a language option for text and speech. I can’t read Kanji so I can’t tell you which one is Japanese

Common Fix for most of PC Errors:

Always first update your graphic drivers, the game is in beta stage, so obviously there will be bugs in it. So first go with the drivers update, second try to relaunch the game on crashes or freeze issues. Do the same with Blizzard application. The last thing you can do is go in the following location – “UsersUSER_NAMEAppdataRoamingBungieDestinyPCprefs” and then delete the CVARS.xml file form it. When you restart the game it will be generated.

Fixes for Destiny 2 Known Issues:

• Install the game in path with English characters only for avoiding crashes. You can choose the installation path at the time of setup, and select a folder with English name.
• Start the game from Blizzard’s Battle.net app only to avoid crashes.
• If you see a Non-English screen, hit “Press Enter to Play” to proceed ahead.
• While starting the game if you get missing dll error, then first exit the game completely. Download and install the latest version of DirectX and VC Redistributables Package from Microsoft site. After installing reboot your pc and then try starting the game again.
• If the game crash while adjusting the screen resolution then hit Alt + F4 to exit it and then launch it back.
• To resolve constant crashing issue while playing reduce the video settings to low and test back. 4K resolution on 1080p monitor can cause crash.
• If you turn off Non-Primary monitor when Destiny 2 Beta client is running can cause blue screen.
• Turn off MSAA, Destiny 2 PC Beta has not received a support for this. The compatibility will be added for the final version coming on PC on 24th October.
• Turning off Vysnc can also help you in dealing with performance issues.
• If you are facing lag issue then try to turn off third party applications like Xsplit or any game recorder or capture software.
• You might not be able to see Brightness control when HDR is on.
• If you are facing issue with key rebinding then try restoring it to default. Disable num lock while playing it can cause issue with certain key inputs.
• Resizing the game window in 4K can cause the game to freeze.
• While using Alt+Tab the mouse cursor might freeze on third party apps, try to press that and come back on Destiny 2, it will work.
• Text Chat will end if the characters of messages exceed 255.
• Players with lots of friend in Battle.net friends list can face issue with crashing while trying to create a Character.

Fixes for Destiny 2 Known Hardware Issues:

• Players might face issue with HDR features on some configuration, this will be common in Beta, but you will more optimized settings in full game.
• Destiny 2 PC Beta does not support Crossfire. SLi can also cause some problem related to compatibility.
• If you are having issue in joining Fireteam they check that UPnP is enabled in Network settings.
• Players with multiple network adapters can face issue while playing the game, disable others and keep only one active.
• Using low fps Vsync settings on monitors with high refresh rate can cause lag.
• Destiny 2 on PC does not support Portrait mode and there can be issues with Non-QWERTY keyboards also.
